Onboarding is a critical and important step in the employee journey. We have all realized that first impressions are crucial. Especially when many employees are onboarded remotely, it is essential to prepare new employees for their first 30-90 days in a thorough and comprehensive manner.
This document is the onboarding plan that I used in my previous roles as a product leader. It is built on four key areas and twelve linked competencies that I use to guide my direct reports' journeys as well as for hiring. The plan is listing tasks for the manager and the new hire. You get access to the Google Docs version, so you can make a copy and edit it based on your needs.
